Taking It To The Streets...
Rounding out Portland's new media spectrum
are several smaller shops using the same technology as the more established players, but
finding a niche.
Portland WebSmith,
dubbed "Portland's Neighborhood Walk-In Web site Designer," offers
front-end design work for Web sites and leaves the back-end work for the
bigger shops in town. "Ninety percent of our business is through
referral," President Ian Harvie explains.
"And ninety-five percent of that is located in Portland."...
